Kristi Ussery was born and raised in north Alabama. She grew up singing in her youth choir, and it was there that she developed a love for music and singing.
She is married to Kenneth Ussery, they have two children Amber and Ashley Ussery. She has been singing with Bloodline for the past three years, and is excited about what the Lord has in store for Bloodline. She believes that our time here on earth is very short, and she finds joy in singing and serving the Lord. She prays that Bloodline moves forward in the Lord and that we all draw closer to the Lord. Kristi just recently said "Singing for the Lord, is not about us, or winning awards, its not about people you know or a popularity contest....but its about lifting up the name of Jesus Christ and winning others to God. We want to see souls saved and his name high and lifted up!
Brother Jerry Hopkins has dedicated his life to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, where his roots run deep in his native home of north Alabama. A stronghold of Southern Gospel Music singing tradition he pursues his passion for the Gospel in song.
For over 30 years, The Hopkins Family brightened the Christian world with their sweet harmonies in song like only a family can do. His greatest influence was The Rambo's, The Hemphills and The Singing Cookes of the early 70's and 80's
In 2010 he became part of the group Bloodline, along with his daughter Denise Hopkins-Jaco, were he sings harmony and some lead for the group. He said that he wants to give all that he has to this last day journey for the Lord...and many times he has made this statement, "When the Lord blesses a Song Service, it makes every mile worthwhile."If I may add, its like the great song writer Dottie Rambo wrote in her song, "One more curve in life's road, maybe one more mile to go, then you can lay down your heavy load when you get home." That about says it as well as it can be said and he will continue on until he gets there.
For the past thirty plus years Denise Hopkins-Jaco has been singing the Lord's songs of praise. She started out singing at the age of 5 years old, with her parents by her side as The Hopkins Family. They traveled from church to church singing southern gospel music, and spreading the word of the Lord. Saved at the young age of 11 years old, Denise has said she is most happy when she is singing, and that there is no greater feeling than seeing someone blessed through the ministry of gospel music. The talents the Lord has given her, it is her desire to use them for His honor and glory.
Denise was born and raised in Toney,AL. She attends Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church in Taft,TN-where she sings. She serves as assistant director for the youth choir, and assistant pianist for the church. With the support of her family, her husband Scott Jaco and her two sons Justin and Logan, she intends to continue on the journey that the Lord has set before her hoping that through her "God Given" talents, souls can be saved or blessed in some way with Bloodline.
